Sculpt & Define Facial (Lymphatic)Treatment 90mins
To start, your therapist will choose between 4 exfoliants of varying strengths and 3 peels (from gentle papaya or pineapple enzyme peels to a more concentrated AHA peel), and a selection of face masks to compliment the tools and techniques used. (Note: Our thermal moulding mask is recommended if tolerated—it supports penetration of active ingredients and contours the face.)
Once the skin and muscles are warm, a range of personalised lymphatic movements will be used.
Contouring: Completely centred around stimulating the lymphatic system, expect a faster-paced combination of pulsing, kneading and pinching the facial muscles into highly defined positions.
Lifting: A Japanese style grounded in lymphatic and shiatsu that focuses on lifting, preventing sagging skin, reducing wrinkles and addressing under-eye issues. These unique whole-hand and finger movements are especially slow and deep and use a firm pressure on facial muscles.
Defining: Ideal for softening lines and dark circles and relieving puffy eyes, this muscle lifting technique uses slow, deep strokes to target acupressure points and shift toxin blockages underneath the skin.
From there your therapist will curate a few healing techniques, just for you, from this line up:
Gua sha: These ancient tools and techniques are incredibly powerful when used by an expert. The ultimate in manipulation of energy points along the face for enhanced blood flow and lymphatic drainage, gua sha is the Cadillac of non-surgical treatments for refined contours, firming and lifting.
Cryotheraphy: A go-to for addressing inflammation, puffiness and redness, chilled tools specially made for facial contours are glided along the skin in gentle, fluid motions to soothe and sculpt.
Jaw work: These adjustments involve working on muscles from the inside of the mouth and outside of the face to relax the super-tense muscles that play a part in teeth grinding and a tight, sore jaw.
Facial cupping: An age-old practice, it involves using suction cups to gently relieve muscle tension, boost blood circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system without stretching or marking the skin.
Sinus and ear work: For those living with painful blocked sinuses and/or ears, these methods focus on targeting relevant pressure points and draining trapped fluid using flowing finger movements.
Steamed facial poultice: In this timeworn technique, a warm herbal compress is rhythmically rolled and kneaded along the face, neck and décolletage to relieve cheek and jaw tension and contour.
